Pacaya Samiria National Reserve Tour 6 Days and 5 Nights

Day 1:

Transfer from your hotel or airport to the city of Nauta.
Cruise along the Marañón and Pucate Rivers to the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.
Arrival at our refuge located in the Buenos Aires community.
Nighttime canoe excursion to observe caimans and other species.

Day 2:

Sunrise birdwatching tour.
Jungle hike to observe giant trees.
Sport fishing for piranhas and other species along the “Selva de los Espejos” river.

Day 3:

Jungle hike – Camping.
Canoe expedition in search of the largest fish in the Amazon: the Paiche (Giga Arapaima).
Excursion to search for and observe animals such as: giant river otters, tapirs, peccaries, giant armadillos, etc. If we’re lucky, we might even spot an anaconda.

Day 4:

Walk through the jungle to observe monkeys, insects, birds, and everything nature has to offer.
Return to the refuge.
Observation of the Lupuna, one of the largest trees in the Amazon.
Night walk – Jungle camping.

Day 5:

Early morning canoe expedition to observe various monkeys on the riverbanks, such as the squirrel monkey, the black capuchin monkey, the howler monkey, among others.
Return to the refuge.
Visit to the Buenos Aires community to learn about their customs and traditions.
Visit to local artisans – Purchase of handicrafts: optional.
Day 6:

Watching gray and pink dolphins – Swimming with the dolphins.
Sailing to the city of Nauta-Iquitos.
Return to Iquitos – Transfer to the hotel or airport.
End of our services.
